Ribbon UI & QAT
Like Apex Sketch v5, Nexus incorporates a new Ribbon interface. This is an ideal component for mobile devices that are becoming increasingly smaller in size. Doubling as both a menu system and toolbar, the ribbon can be locked open or set to automatically close after you have make your selection.  The ultimate benefit of the Ribbon is increased drawing space and coupled with enhanced fly out panels, Nexus offers an extremely friendly UI that gets out of your way.

If you don’t like hunting for commonly used commands, you can customize the Quick Access Toolbar which allowsyou to keep the functionality you need most right at your fingertips. 

Consolidated Lines & Curve Functionality
With time savigns in mind, we focused on improving the drawing tools to increase the speed in which you can create floor plans. We consolidated the functionality of lines and curves in the new Draw Areas tool.  As you're drawing properties in the field and encounter a curved wall, simply ink it in. No more swapping between tools losing valuable time.

Scale & Center
Have you ever been in a situation where you were drawing with previous version of Nexus and zoomed or panned your sketch off the drawing port losing track of where it is?  That’s no problem with Nexus v3. At any time, simply tap the Scale & Center command and your sketch will be resized to fit the drawing port. This also comes in handy when drawing in a zoomed fashion and need to fit the sketch to the drawing port. 

Drag Midpoints to Transform Lines into Curves
Editing in Nexus has always been easy, but we’ve made it better by including the ability to change any line into a curve.  When you’re ready to transform a line, simply select it and drag its midpoint in the direction you would like to bow the curve.  Then make changes by inking over any of the curve properties that display such as arc height, chord rise & run or arc length. This allows you to draw all of your walls including chords and then modify the curve once you’ve determined the necessary measurements.

Individual Line Styles and More!
Styles work better than ever before. According to what you have selected, the styles dialog will expand the appropriate sections giving you an opportunity to make individual or mass changes to Dimensions, Lines, Areas and Text Labels.  Additionally, Nexus v3 now supports individual line styles.  This new function gives you the flexibility to make quick changes or place specific emphasis on selected items for an added professional touch!

Symbol Library Enhancements
We’ve given the Symbol Library a complete makeover. In past versions, you were limited to movement and rotation. Nexus version 3 lets you do so much more!

Key Improvements:

• Accurate Representation
  When you drag a symbol onto the screen, it accurately represents the size and scale of the symbol for easier placement.
• Auto Rotation and Snap
  Once dropped onto the sketch, the symbol will automatically rotate and snap to lines and points of the areas drawn. What this means is you can spend more time adding detail to your sketches without the frustration of failed attempts to place things exactly where you want them.
• Rotation & Resizing Support
  You could always rotate symbols in previous versions, but that’s been refined to make things function as you’d expect from a pen driven application. Rotation is now proximity based and supports detents or the snapping to angles while the symbol is reoriented. As the pen is moved further away from the symbol during rotation, the symbol rotates in smaller degrees for more precision. Symbols can also be proportionally resized to your liking by grabbing any of the corner handles or skewed with the center handles.

Text Rotation & Resizing
The text library has been given similar attention as well. After dragging and dropping them onto your sketch, you can select them for relocation, rotation and resizing. This ability makes it much easier to size text labels and dimensions according to the space provided by the areas drawn.

Witness Line & Offset Markers
Nexus version 3 introduces new intuitive tools such as witness lines that offer pinpoint precision & control to draw wherever you need to. Offsets are one example. When hovering over a line while drawing, Nexus now displays witness lines designed to provide feedback with regard to distance between points. Just hover close to where the offset should be, tap the point and make any fine adjustments as necessary. Once you’re satisfied with the offset, simply ink in your line from that point.
